Building a Game with Swift Playgrounds

This book teaches you how to build a simple Tic Tac Toe game using Swift Playgrounds. Over of a series of sixteen individual lessons you'll learn how to model the game board, handle touch events, create custom nodes, and design algorithms for playing the game.

Get to know the SpriteKit framework by using scenes, nodes and actions to build the game mechanics. Use the GameplayKit framework to model different states during gameplay and design algorithms for adversarial intelligence.

Each page includes a lesson and a coding challenge so you can follow along as each concept is taught. As you progress through the book, you'll receive feedback on each challenge. If you get stuck, each lesson includes a hint and solution so you can check your work!

This book is geared towards the beginner who is familiar with the Swift language. As a prerequisite, you should be comfortable with the material covered in the Learn to Code Playgrounds
